JHM Certified Public Accountants to Provide Accounting Oversight, Sponsor ‘Survivor Cafe’ at 2014 Komen Chattanooga Race for the Cure, Oct. 12

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (October 1, 2014) – JHM Certified Public Accountants announced that it will provide accounting oversight of registration monies, and sponsor the annual “Survivor Cafe” at the 2014 Komen Chattanooga Race for the Cure on Sunday, Oct. 12, for the second year in a row.

Survivors of all forms of cancer, including breast cancer, and family members are invited to stop by the Survivor Cafe between 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. for refreshments at no charge.

This year’s region-wide fund-raising event will be held at Finley Stadium, 1826 Carter St., on Chattanooga’s Southside.

Event day registration for the Race opens at 11 a.m., with 5K Competitive and 5K Recreational Run/Walk at 2 p.m., and the untimed one-mile Fun Run/Walk immediately following.

“Serving as the 2014 ‘Survivor Sponsor’ of the Komen Race for the Cure allows JHM Certified Public Accountants to support a community with which our firm has had a great deal in common. A number of our employees, partners and clients have been affected by breast cancer in recent years. The Survivor Cafe is a great way for us to complete that circle and share a few quality moments with area survivors. We want them to enjoy the Survivor Cafe, encourage one another and press forward,” said Dean Krech, managing partner of JHM Certified Public Accountants.

Additionally, JHM personnel will be onsite to offer professional accounting oversight of registration monies collected on the day of the race.

“Komen Chattanooga Race for the Cure is very thankful to JHM Certified Public Accountants for joining in the fight and supporting meaningful research and activities dedicated to finding a lasting cure to breast cancer,” said Karen Edmondson, executive director of Komen Chattanooga.
